I’ve pretty much sucked at updating lately, huh? Let’s see what I can remember of what’s been going on since the last update.
The main time consuming event was a yard sale we planned for the 24th (my town actually has city-wide yard sale week. We’re cool.) Pretty much any day off I got meant a trip over to our storage buildings to try to dig through the masses of junk, throw away a bunch of it, and collect stuff to sell. It took days to even put a visible dent in the mass of stuff, so we still have a lot left to do, but we managed to have a pretty big (exhausting!) sale, so at least we got started.
I slept so well the night after the sale, except I got woken up by a massive crash of thunder in the middle of the night. Cool, I like sleeping during storms. When I woke up the next morning, I asked Mom if it woke her up too, but nope, she slept through it. So as I’m leaving for work, I notice a few branches sticking over the edge of the garage roof. Wow, must have been a pretty big storm if we have branches down. I walk out into the driveway to see how many are up there, and… there is a tree on my house. A TREE on my HOUSE (to put it in the ever-famous Kelly Vodka Voice). That boom of “thunder” last night? That is apparently the sound a two ton tree makes when hitting a metal carport.

Ready for the amusing part? Not only did mom sleep through it, but she went out to get the paper on Sunday morning, and didn’t notice the tree! Senses like a ninja, that one.
So now I’m sitting at work, trying to stay awake. It’s been pretty busy tonight, but at least it was quiet while I ate and watched TV.
It’s actually cold outside, and strangely enough, I kinda love it.
